About the role

Symmetric Health Solutions is looking for a sales engineer to help our customers realize never before seen efficiencies with healthcare supply chain data. This role will be responsible for executing data and analysis focused initiatives that demonstrate the value of Symmetric’s products to healthcare organizations while effectively managing customer relationships.

The sales engineer will work directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand the needs of our customers, navigate the Symmetric sales cycle, provide compelling product demonstrations, perform analysis necessary to demonstrate value to the customer, and support the close of business.

This role is responsible for:

  • Performing data analysis using Symmetric, SQL, and/or Microsoft Excel to meet customer and prospect needs
  • Designing processes, frameworks, and solutions to address customer and prospect needs using Symmetric’s data and analytics tools
  • Communicating effectively with customers and prospects to understand goals, priorities and pain points
  • Presenting data-focused solutions and concepts to healthcare organizations, including prospects, partners, and customers
  • Product demonstrations to prospects, partners, and customers
  • Supporting various sales and customer success initiatives across Symmetric Health Solutions
  • Representing the voice of the customer to influence product strategy and direction

We are looking for:

  • 3+ years experience in a sales engineering role
  • 3+ years experience working in the healthcare industry
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage client relationships
  • Demonstrated data analytics capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to present to both technical and business audiences
  • A motivated self-starter
  • The drive to take over project timelines and deliverables
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment

Skills that would be nice to have:

  • Experience working with any Healthcare IT infrastructure
  • Experience with supply chain IT or management
  • Experience with medical devices or clinical supplies
  • Experience performing data analysis using Python
  • Experience with any and all programming applications
  • Certifications related to the healthcare industry such as Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA), Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS), HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HISPP), etc.
  • Certifications with popular healthcare technology systems such as Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Infor, Workday, or Oracle

Additional requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (sciences, engineering, computer science, etc.)
  • Authorized to work in the US
